Seahorse Stamp

Hello Kay M here,   I would like to share this seahorse tag with you today.  It's similar to one I made for Kay's launch of the last four stamps in the Collectors Edition on Hochanda last weekend.  This one has the seahorse, crackle and compass new stamps.

I painted a grey board tag with black GeeSsoGood and when dry the crackle stamp was stamped randomly over with an embossing ink and heat embossed in clear embossing powder.   The compass stamp was then stamped over the tag with the embossing ink and this time bronze Luscious powder was added to the clear powder before heat embossing.

Goldfinger and MissMoneypenny paints were painted onto Wet Media Dura-Lar(you could use acetate) and Gold and pink Luscious powders painted onto white card and left to dry. 

The seahorse was stamped with StazOn on the non painted side of the Dura-Lar  and also one onto gold shrink film.  Seashells from Under the Sea set were stamped over the painted Luscious powders and a sentiment onto white card.  These were then cut out and shaped and the gold seahorse heat shrunk.     

All the elements were adhered to the tag and string added to finish the tag.  I removed the hole from seahorse as I changed my mind about were to place him!

Flower Tag

Hello and welcome, it's Kay M here with today's post.    I've made a simple tag with the fabulous new floral stamps the Kay recently introduced and have highlighted a few blooms with autumnal colours with Luscious powders.

I painted a grey board tag with black Gee-Sso-Good to get a lovely flat matt background.  This was to compliment the texture of Floral Power stamped in Versafine and heat embossed in clear embossing powder as shown.

Flowers from Wild Poppy, Marigold and Peony and Anemone and Daisy sets were stamped onto white card in Versafine black and embossed in clear embossing powder.   They were then painted with Red, Orange, Rose Bronze and Gold Luscious powders, fussy cut and the raw edges coloured with black pen.  An extra area of card was painted with the same colours, to create a masterboard, and when dry the sentiment from Pegasus was stamped in black and heat embossed in clear embossing powder and cut out.  Repeating the heat embossing process gives unity to the whole project.     

To finish, red and orange Luscious were used to colour some shear ribbon lengths and when dry these were tied to the tag.  The sentiment and flowers were then attached as shown.

The same technique could also be used to make a card for an autumn celebration.   I hope you have been inspired!

Perfect Peony

Hello Cheremane here with you today. I just adore the new floral designs and have chosen the  A6 Peony for this creation, it really is a stunning stamp design. To begin I painted an in-expensive box with Black Gesso before I painting it with Stroke of Midnight.

I stamped four of the Peony's onto watercolour card with Versafine and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. I then wet the area of the flowers and added some Mulberry Bush paint to the area with a small brush and let it travel where is wanted to go, as with the card wet the colour will flow where the water is.

I added some Olive waistcoat paint to some Phat foam and used it like an ink pad to stamp the leafs onto some watercolour card and also around the bottom of the box.

Once the Peony's were dry I layered the four together with glue gel. For the flower center I added some Lemon Meringue paint.

I finished off with a gorgeous sentiment from Mindfulness #2 heat embossed to the front of the box and attached the Peony to the top of the box with some Super Thick Slap It On.

20,000 Leagues

Hello and welcome,    Kay M here today with a 20cm x20cm canvas with my take on this month's theme of story telling.  The story is not personal but the classic 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne.  

The Nautilus came to mind  after I finished Steampunk inspired mini panel so it was incorporated into canvas using two of my favourite stamp sets- Steampunkesque and Under the Sea.  

For the canvas background fine textured paste was applied through the Laural Leaves stencil over the lower half, when dry the whole canvas was painted with Gee-Sso-Good white.  A wash of Stroke of Midnight, Kingfisher Blue and Emerald City then painted on, misted with water and left to dry naturally.   

  Images from  Under the Sea were then stamped with Kingfisher Blue and Vodka Martini.

 

The Steampunk inspired mini panel was made by arranging strips of hammer card in a random patchwork pattern on to a10cmx10cm  grey board and adhere with Slap-It-On-Matt.  

Apply 3D paint dots along the seam edges and dry.    

 Glue pin, cardboard and resin shapes as shown and dry.  

 Paint the entire board with black Gee-Sso-Good. 

For the metal effect blend a little Gee-Sso-Good- Black with Sleeping Beauty paint and Raven Black with a little Hot Cocca paints on a plate/tile, 

Use a paintbrush to apply each paint mix in patches over the surface and blending together, when dry, repeat. 
 

Use a finger to apply Gee-Sso-Good white to highlight the raised areas and edges.   Dry brush PheasantBronze and Vodka Martini paints individually over the whole board, concentrating colour on the shapes and faux rivets. 

The image from Steampunkesque was stamped, heat embossed in clear, painted and fussy cut.  

The ship's wheel and anchor were die cut form kraft card and 3D Roman numerals to the value of 20,000 had Chocolate Box Megaflake applied with FlitterGlu.   

All the elements were adhered to the canvas and a colourful 'monster from the deep' made from paper clay and painted with IndigoBlu English Cottage Paints added to finish.

Lost in Thought

Hello and welcome, Kay M here today to share my project with this month's theme of using one of my favourite IndigoBlu stamps.  I managed to narrow my choice down to a 'smallish' list, but am unable to have one overall favourite, so this canvas uses today's favourite, Lost in Thought,  with runner up sets, Limor Circles and Plume!

I re purposed a 20cm² canvas board. It had Croma Crackle applied to it for a another project but as I didn't like how it turned out, I decided to make it the base for this project.  Extra texture was added with fine paste through the Weird Science stencil and the whole board was painted with black Gee-Sso-Good.  When dry,  Luscious powders were brushed all over, and lightly sprayed with water to set.  Silver Luscious powder was mixed with water and applied to the raised areas and edges with my finger, a bottle top was used as a stamp with the silver mixture, and  White Gee-Sso-Good was splattered to finish the background.       

The focus of the canvas was made with wooden stirrers, both wide and narrow.   They were glued together to make boards with wood glue and taped behind with tape. 

When dry these wooden panels painted with White Gee-Sso-Good   and again left to dry. Then the images were stamped with black Archival ink, and coloured with Distress inks.   

I cut two of the narrow boards in half, and edged all of them with black pen.   Then a length of thin string was coloured with Luscious powders and wrapped round in places.  

Once all the elements had been arranged and I was happy with the composition, they were attached using silicon glue.

Watching Over

Hello and welcome,  Kay M here to share a panel with you today.   I've used the beautiful Angel from Peace On Earth to watch over and bless a town.  

A 6x6 (15cm x15cm) grey board was painted with BlackGeeSsoGood and then Sleeping Beauty metallic paint to make a night time sky.   FlitterGlu was sponged through the Starburst stencil in the top left corner and Sheffield Steel Megaflake applied.  

Black GeeSsoGood and Super Thick Slap-it-On were mixed together and applied  through the Whimsical Houses stencil onto orange card,  when dry the houses were cut out.  Unicorn Sparkles and Super Thick Slap-it-On were mixed together and  used to edge the house's roofs and applied through the Stars stencil onto the night sky.  The houses were then attached to the panel to make a townscape.

The Angel was stamped twice onto white card and painted with Luscious, one Angel was cut out completely and the other just the wings.  Both had a little of the remaining Unicorn Sparkles mixture spread over them before the extra wings were attached and added to the panel. 

The sentiment from Spirit of Christmas was stamped on a little painted card, embossed in white, cut out and edged with Unicorn Sparkles and adhered to the panel to finish the panel.

Fireworks Canvas

Hi everyone, it's Solange Marques here. Today, I'll share more one project with IndigoBlu products and inspired on fireworks theme.
Ive made a canvas:

First I've covered the canvas using IndigoBlu GeeSso Good!Gesso-Black . Then I applied FlitterGlu on IndigoBlu Stencil Star 6x6:

 I've applied Megaflake Chariot of Fire on the stars:

Using a water pen I've made some traces with several colours from IndigoBlu Luscious Pigment Powders:

 Then I've applied modelling paste on IndigoBlu stencil-Whimsical Houses:

Family Canvas

Hello and welcome, Kay M here to share the canvas I made for this month's seasonal theme of bonfires and fireworks.   

November has a few annual family gatherings involving food, bonfires and fireworks and where there's a gathering there's the group photo!   I've used one from the  Lost Family paper stack as the main image.

A 20cm x 25cm canvas was painted with Gee-Sso-Good black, when dry,  a Sleeping Beauty wash was painted over and more black sponged around the edges to frame the canvas.

Unicorn Sparkles was mixed with Super Thick Slap-It-On and used through the Starburst Stencil three times on the canvas and left to dry.   Pink Luscious was then added to the mixture and this was used through the Weird Science Stencil into the centre of the Starbursts.  This same mix was watered down and splattered over the canvas,  when dry,  white paint splatters and lines were added.

The elements were prepared. 
I used fine texture paste through the Laurel stencil and fussy cut them out when dry, they were painted with a Emerald City and Pheasant Bronze mix and then dusted with Gold Luscious.   Wooden sentiments were painted with Gee-Sso-Good black then dry brushed with Vodka Martini and a little Hot Cocoa and backed with white card.   The family were fussy cut and a black pen run over the cut edges. 

To finish, the family group was attached with silicon glue and the laurel leaves adhered horizontally behind and in front of them.  The sentiments placed as shown.

I love how the Unicorn Sparkles work with the Starburst stencil to look like an exploding firework.  I do hope you have enjoyed this canvas.

Lady in Autumn, two stretched canvas
