Card Set For Any Occasion

Hi Folks!! Georgie here with you, and today I'm sharing a series of CAS cards, using a new stamp set from IndigoBlu called Word Blocks!

Aren't there gorgeous?!! I do love a good word set, and not only are these great for CAS, but can you imagine the possibilities for background stamping too!!

See the complete series  of six below:

I used coloured co-ordinated hotfix gems to match the paper colour background I chose and randomly dotted them about for a bit of bling beauty. :)

I know CAS is very unusual for me but sometimes it's lovely to take a break from the norm and reset my mixed media thinking from time to time. What about you, are you a CAS fan? If so, these are just the perfect set!!

Take care and many hugs,
Georgie

IndigoBlu at Stitches 2016

What a busy few days it's been for the IndigoBlu team, just back from the annual UK CHSI Trade Show (known as Stitches) held at the NEC in Birmingham from 21st to 23rd February. It's been a great chance to share all the new stamps, stencils, paints and papers, Diamond Resin and Slap It On with retailers, suppliers, designers and publishers.

The stand looked amazing, crammed full of amazing samples from the International Design Team and Demonstrators, but don't take my word for it... settle back and enjoy...

And here's the dream team that shared it all with the visitors to the show (minus one important person - namely Alfie - who's busy holding the camera!!!) Cheremane, Jenny, Kay and Elizabeth worked their socks off and did a fantastic job.

To see more and hear from Kay Halliwell-sutton herself there are four short videos on the IndigoBlu Facebook page HERE and there's even a special surprise in store in one of them!...

And you can find all the new products online at the IndigoBlu shop HERE.

AND that's not all! Catch the latest exciting IndigoBlu show with Kay on Hochanda this coming Sunday 28th February at 11am, 2pm and 6pm (see the link in the sidebar).

Have a great weekend everyone!

Take the Moment Card

Hello Everyone and Welcome! Ksenija is here today and I am sharing a project featuring several new products from the latest IndigoBlu release.

Again I created an encouraging card using several brand-new stamps and new English Cottage Artist's Acrylic Paints.

I commenced with stamping Elsie image down in grey archival ink to an oval die cut of rustic paper, distressing the edges with the scissors and Distress inks in Pumice Stone and Old Paper, as well as stencilling some stripes through IndigoBlu mask Texture.

I coloured Elsie's face lightly with Distress markers and moved on to the card panel creation.

I stamped Rain Droplets onto a kraft card panel with brown archival ink and applied Gee-Sso Good! randomly. When Gesso has dried completely, I stamped Anemone from Colour Me series in the upper left corner, the beautiful waves from Light and Sound Borders stamp set in the middle and the trees from Grand Tour III set with black archival ink.

To mask straight borders of the Anemone square stamp I randomly applied texture paste through Texture stencil, removed the mask and sprinkled the pattern with bright yellow embossing powder. When the paste has dried, I heated it until the embossing powder melted.

I watered down new acrylic paints in Lemon Meringue and Marshmallow, coloured the Anemone and the card panel here and there.

To finish the card I heat embossed the sentiment from Floral Fantasy in white embossing powder and cut just several words out. To assemble the card I glued the kraft panel to a rustic card base with a liquid adhesive, taped the oval with a foam tape and glued the sentiment.

I hope you enjoy this project of mine and I inspired you to mix different stamps from the latest IndigoBlu release.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Our winner from last month's challenge, Theresa, has joined us today as a Guest Designer, and here is her inspiration for you:

Theresa had this to say:

I was so pleased to win the IndigoBlu challenge last month. I was over the moon. I used to enter the challenge regularly up to a few months back and made top 3 on several occasions, but had never won before. so last month I decided to enter again and it must have been meant to be..... I knew which stamps I wanted even before I had gone onto the shop site. the new science ones. can't wait for them to arrive and to add to my ever increasing collection of IB stamps.

Thank you Theresa for this lovely piece, it's great having you this month as our Guest Designer. I absolutely love this idea for an old tin, and the colours are just fab!

And now it's our own fabulous DT's turn:

Cheremane

Claire

Wenda

Julie

Emmy

Wow! Blown away by these fab pieces, don't forget you can click on the links on the ladies names, and it will take you to their blogs to see how they made their inspiration. Don't forget to come back though and enter the challenge. It's just about the colour red, and as you can see, that doesn't mean just hearts, it's anything you like with Indigoblu stamps and a bit of red. You could be our next winner of some lovely brand spanking new stamps!

Hope we have inspired you,

Best Wishes,
