Write Soon

Hello Everyone and Welcome!

Today Ksenija is here, and I am happy to share with you a new project as a part of February inspiration from International DT.

And again I am demonstrating use of Tiny Backgrounds stamps set in combination with other sets by IndigoBlu.

I started with stamping down the silhouette of the grass from Butterfly Collector set in Black Soot Distress ink, covering the impression with transparent embossing powder and heat setting the image.

I masked off the edges of the card panel with a masking tape, deliberately adhering small pieces of the tape to have uneven edges.

Then I slightly sponged a mix of Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed Distress inks.

Having removed the masking tape, I stamped down one of the stamps from Tiny Backgrounds set. I made three impressions in different Distress inks to create an ombre effect - Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade and Candied Apple.

To assemble the card I heat embossed part of the sentiment from Take the Time stamp set on a black card stock stripe, cut it in two and adhered stripes with a foam tape for additional dimension. The finished panel I glued to a black card base.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope, you enjoy this card and you will play with Tiny Backgrounds set during this weekend.

Treasure box

Hello Ladies and Guys! Monika here. Today I want to show you my mixed media box.

I played with MegaFlakes and with paints. First I applied coat of GeeSso Good! Gesso - Black. Then I stamped the doily stamp from Floral Fantasy set using my favourite Mega Flakes Chocolate Box

I also used metallic paints: GoldSleeping BeautyCopper as you can see, they are perfectly working together. At the end I applied thin coat of Slap It On Gloss to add some shine.

I love experimenting with paints, and you? Please share yours works with IndigoBlu paints in the comments below. I would love to see them!

Butterfly card

Hello Everyone! Monika here with a mixed media card I made using the new IndigoBlu stamps. I used  A5 Floral Fantasy and A5 Word Blocks; both of them I loved from the first sight!

I absolutely adore the doily stamp in the Floral Fantasy set. I stamped mine with StazOn Gothic Purple ink. After stamping my butterflies (from the same set and from the A5 Butterfly Collector set) and colouring them I covered them using the brand new Slap it On Gloss to protect them and add some shine.

I then played with the IndigoBlu English Cottage Artist's Acrylic Paints. They are perfect for creating colourful backgrounds. I used Wimberry Pie, Banana Custard and a new yummy colour called Mulberry Bush. And I stamped first the doily, then the swirls from Tiny Backgrounds and the word Beauty from Word Blocks.

Heart Canvas

For my inspiration today I made a small love canvas. The background I made in a quick and easy way with IndigoBlu English Cottage Artist's Acrylic paints (Peppermint Tea, Grandma's Teacup, Pantry White and Banana Custard), the IndigoBlu Texture stencil and Tasty Textures A5 stamp set. The word love comes from the Live, Laugh, Love A5 stamp set.

I spent a little more time on making a heart. This time I used one of the stamps from the new Tiny Backgrounds stamp set in a different way than usual. I covered a heart die with a modelling paste and I stamped it with the stamp; in this way I made a 3D structure on it. After drying I painted it with Postbox Red English Cottage Artist's Acrylic Paint and Black Gee-Sso Good gesso.
