Pegasus

Hello, Jannet here today to wish you a magical, happy, and above all a healthy 2018! I wanted to begin this new year with a magical and hopeful card featuring the gorgeous Pegasus He is already to take off on his first flight of the year.

I used versamarker on his wings and heat embossed in silver. I then coloured the wings with Porcelain luscious which I had already  mixed with a little water. It gives such a lovely sheen, just perfect for wings!

After stamping the gorgeous Pegasus I added colour to him with Pink, Porcelain, and Poseidon Blue Luscious.

My favourite colour is pink so I chose Mulberry Bush and Marshmallow Paints for the  background colours. Of course not everyone is a lover of pink, so they can be any colour of your imagination.
I selected the word Hope from the Faith  stencil, as I thought this was the best word to start a new year with. I used fine texture paste in the stencil and painted over it with what else but Pink luscious !

I added some Wishing Stars from the Stars stencil, and some random circles from the Texture stencil

I added the Numbers stamp to represent the count down to the new year and also for the days to come in this new year.

I added Pegasus and his wings to the background with 3d sticky pads. I curved the larger wing forwards a little.

The Luscious. coloured some dried flowers very nicely.

I added some Fine Texture Paste mixed with a little Mulberry Bush paint at the base of the picture, and added a selection of clear beads and tiny stars which reflect light .A new year is often a time for reflection..

May all your hopes come true in 2018 xxx

Watching Over

Hello and welcome,  Kay M here to share a panel with you today.   I've used the beautiful Angel from Peace On Earth to watch over and bless a town.

A 6x6 (15cm x15cm) grey board was painted with BlackGeeSsoGood and then Sleeping Beauty metallic paint to make a night time sky.   FlitterGlu was sponged through the Starburst stencil in the top left corner and Sheffield Steel Megaflake applied.

Black GeeSsoGood and Super Thick Slap-it-On were mixed together and applied  through the Whimsical Houses stencil onto orange card,  when dry the houses were cut out.  Unicorn Sparkles and Super Thick Slap-it-On were mixed together and  used to edge the house's roofs and applied through the Stars stencil onto the night sky.  The houses were then attached to the panel to make a townscape.

The Angel was stamped twice onto white card and painted with Luscious, one Angel was cut out completely and the other just the wings.  Both had a little of the remaining Unicorn Sparkles mixture spread over them before the extra wings were attached and added to the panel.

The sentiment from Spirit of Christmas was stamped on a little painted card, embossed in white, cut out and edged with Unicorn Sparkles and adhered to the panel to finish the panel.

I do hope your holiday preparations are going well and you are still able to get creative!

Take care,  Kay M

Christmas Word Block | Almost Clean and Simple Card

Hello Everyone and Welcome!

Today Ksenija is here, and I am happy to share with you a new project featuring Christmas Word Block stamp from the latest IndigoBlu release. This stamp continues a line of Word Block stamps released earlier this year.
I started with die cutting a 2 1/2" square out of rustic white card stock and stamping down Christmas Word Block in kraft colour dye ink. Then I heat embossed the postage stamp image from Vintage Frame stamps set and stamped the Christmas tree in dark red inks. I really enjoy that small images from this set fit into the circle perfectly.

I distressed the edges with my scissors and dried dye ink with a heat gun before distressing the square die edges with inks. I love splatters and this time also added some with diluted white gesso.
For the card panel I used a kraft card stock mat cut to 4 1/8 x 5 3/8". I applied white embossing paste through Stars stencil and let it air dry.
When the paste dried, I assembled the card by mounting the kraft panel to a dark red card base. To lift up the focal element I used foam tape.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope, you enjoy this card. I wish you to tune into Christmas mood gradually and have fun with the latest IndigoBlu Christmas goodies.

Winter Wonderland

Hello, Kay M here with a festive winter scene using the gorgeous Winterland Wood tree and delightful angel from Peace on Earth.

I spread fine paste over a 8" canvas board and gave it texture by using the scratchy part of a washing up sponge on it vertically before it dried. Emerald City, Miss Moneypenny and Pheasant Bronze Metallic paints were mixed together to give the green I wanted and then applied it to a piece of Phat foam and this used to 'ink ' up and stamp the tree repeatedly across the centre of the board and on to white card, these ones were cut out.

Unicorn Sparkles were mixed into Super Thick Slap-it-On and this was used through the Star stencil above the tree line and in patches to look like snow drifts below. When dry the board was spritzed with water and silver and blue Luscious sprinkled above the trees and moved round with a wet paintbrush. The same method was applied below the trees using silver and green Luscious.

The angel was stamped with FlitterGlu and Stainless Steel Mega Flakes applied and then over stamped with StazOn ink and fussy cut. The sentiments are from The Spirit of Christmas stencil, VersaFine black ink was sponged through and then the Unicorn Sparkles and Super Thick Slap-it-On mixture applied on top and cut out when dry. The angel and sentiments were adhered with silicon glue to the board as shown.

If you are going to Crafting at Ally Pally this weekend do pop over to the IndigoBlu stand and say hello to Kay, Alfie and Jenny, they will be so pleased to see you!

Take care,  Kay M

Twinkling Unicorn Canvas

Hello there, Cheremane here today with my very first post as part of the International Design Team. I just adore Jewel the Unicorn stamp it's perfect for so many occasions.

I started with a 20cm x 20cm Canvas Board giving it a coat of Black GeeSso Good. Once dry I mixed some yummy Blue Luscious Powder with water to give a blue metallic wash, to make it look like a night sky.

Next I added some Extra Thick Slap it on through the beautiful Vintage Frame Stencil. The slap it on dries clear if you leave it as it comes out of the pot.

Before the Extra Thick Slap It On was dry I added some delicious Unicorn Sparkles. I just adore glitter.

I wanted to change my Extra Thick Slap It On from clear to silver so I mixed it with some yummy Silver Luscious powder. It's brilliant as you can now make your very own different coloured texture paste's. If like me you make to much then why not put the excess into an empty Mega-Flake pot ready for next time, as this is what I have done.

Randomly place the Stars Stencil and the made up Silver Slap It On over the canvas. Just look at that Luscious Powder! I really can't stop using them along with the Stars Stencil, they definitely never seem to be off my table at the moment.

Now to finish, stamp out Jewel with Versafine Majestic Blue ink pad and add some Unicorn Sparkles to the main and tail with Flitterglu.

The sentiment is from the New Sparkle and Glisten Stamp Set,before adding I used the Paper Distress Tool to the edge of the card.

For the final touch I added some clear gems for extra sparkle.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you like it as much as I did making it.

Country House Retreat

Hi there Elizabeth here sharing a colourful project this morning. I love this Country House stamp and can see many different used for it.

I started off by adding Fine Texture Paste through the fab new Stars Stencil drying it and then painting over with a coat of White GeeSsoGood While this was drying I stamped out the Country House  doorway stamp twice onto Perfect White Stamping card using Black Versafine Ink and coloured in using Caran d'Ache pencils

I cut around a complete coloured image and adhered it to the canvas. Once that had dried I spread paste around the edges of the stamped image, and scored brick lines into it using the end of a paint brush.

Once this had completely dried off I began adding the Cottage Garden paints layer by layer, starting with Pink Iced Gems and building right up to Park Lane around the edges.

I love the way the paints blend together. Next I mixed a tiny amount of the gorgeous new Luscious Powder in Bronze and using a fine brush painted inbetween the brickwork, and slightly over the top of the bricks as well for a gorgeous sheen.

Then after cutting out the lanterns and topiary tree's I added them using black foam pads.

I also cut out the door, painted it with a mixture of Luscious Powders and made a cut down the centre and edges, so one door could be opened. (sorry about the blurred picture).

Next taking a piece of card I added several different colours of paint, blending them in at the edges where they met.

I stamped out a sentiment and Butterflies from the gorgeous Floral Fantasy Stamp Set on my Rainbow background, made myself a cuppa and set about cutting them out, which took no time at all.

Then all that was left to do, was to build up the picture, add the chopped up sentiment, position the Butterflies escaping from the doorway, and of course add a few paint splatters using the left-over Luscious and also diluted white GeeSsoGood.

I think you will agree, the combination of the Cottage Garden paints and the Luscious powders is just amazing, so vibrant.

I had such great fun creating this project and hope you've enjoyed it too.
Thanks for looking, Elizabeth x
