Hello

Cheremane here with you today with my first project for 2018.  I've used one of my favourites for today's creation I adore the Florals.

Firstly I stamped the Peony and Leaves with Black Versafine and heat embossed with clear powder onto watercolour card.

I wet the cardstock before adding tiny amounts of Mulberry Bush and Hunter Green which I had mixed with water too as it adds more of a watercolour feel to you image,

Then I stamped and heat embossed the Hello sentiment from Dreams Come True and added the border from the super Aztec Borders set which was realeased on Hochanda just before Christmas.

I mat and layered using coal black stamping card and when the peony and leaves were dry layered them with glue gel to finish.

Be sure to check back again soon for lots more inspiration from the team.

Hello Autumn

Hello Everyone and Welcome!

Today Ksenija is here, and I am happy to share with you a new project as a part of September inspiration from International DT.
I would like to demonstrate the way to use big stamps for Clean and Simple cards. For my card I am combining Lollipop Tree and Dreams Come True stamp sets with Megaflakes. Clean and Simple (CAS) cards should have a lot free (white) space and preferably one focal image. To comply with CAS style rules I suggest stamping the big image over the crease line.
Lollipop Tree IndigoBlu Sweet Kobylkin
I started with cutting the card base to 5 1/2" by 6 1/4" and folding it vertically at 2". Then stamped the tree in soft grey archival ink down to a soft grey card base. I did not center it, but moved the stamp to the right to get the stem of the tree on the front panel.

Then partially applied FlitterGlu to the tree stamp and made the second impression, which I covered with Winter Dawn Megaflakes. Winter Dawn - is a mix of silver foils with blue greens and shiny golds.
Dreams Come True IndigoBlu Sweet Kobylkin
I cut a white card panel to size 4 1/4" by 5 1/2" and stamped down Hello script from Dreams Come True set. To bind visually the grey card base and this panel I heat embossed one heart in silver powder.
To assemble the card I folded it at 2" and adhered the white panel under the narrow side of the card base.

Mary Metallic Christmas Card

Autumn here to share some holiday inspiration with you.  I just could not wait to ink up the lovely new Mother and Child stamp.  I decided to do a non-traditional color scheme so I could play with my beautiful new IndigoBlu metallic paints.

I used a pine bough die with very thin chipboard.  I lightly mixed a small amount of Goldfinger and Snow White metallic paints together to form the most luxurious color and painted several of the die cuts.  Next I cut my snowflakes and star and painted them with pure Goldfinger for contrast.

On a watercolor panel I partially stamped the Christmas Word Block and Snowflake Lace repeatedly with Versamark ink.  I poured silver embossing powder over some sections, then shook off the excess.  Then I poured gold embossing powder over the entire panel to collect in any open areas of my inked background and heat embossed.  I distressed the edges of my panel.  Then I embossed Mary in silver and fussy cut the edges.

I layered my elements, adding in some vintage seam binding, sequins, and splashes of watery Goldfinger and Snow White paints for interest.  I mounted onto a pewter card base to create a pretty framed edge.

This card is both mixed media and CAS, if there is such a thing!  I hope it inspires you to start your Christmas cards, especially if you're not quite in the mood for red and green just yet.

Thank you for your visit today and I look forward to reading your comments.

Word Blocks #1 | Clean and Simple Cards

Hello Everyone and Welcome! Ksenija is here today highlighting Word Block #1 stamp set.

This set contains all occasions words so easy to use for card making. For the cards I demonstrate today I selected Beauty and Thanks words and started with stamping them down to white card stock.

Then I inked Vintage Flourish with light dye inks and rolled it randomly across Word Blocks impressions. The Word Blocks and black mats are die cut with Sizzix Square dies.

To add a little bit of shine and to soften black frames I stamped Honeycomb Background with FlitterGlu and covered the impressions with Chariot of Fire Mega Flakes.

To create main panels I stamped flowers and a rose branch from Live Laugh Love stamp set in Archival ink and coloured the impressions with watercolour markers.

For additional dimension I popped up the Word Blocks with a foam tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
