IndigoBlu Red Rubber stamps in two ways with Beck BT

Hi Everyone, it's Beck Beattie here today to share with you a scrapbook page using some of the fun new IndigoBlu red rubber stamps! I adore all the designs so much and love the versatility of them!

For my page I wanted to use them in two different ways, one as a subtle background effect and the other as a strong design element.

Products Used:

The process:
  • I created a watercolour background for my page first.
  • I then stamped the 'LOVE' panel as part of my page design with permanent black ink.  I did some continuous stamping to create a strip of stamping in the design.

  • Next I took the clouds from the Nature 1 set and using a light blue ink stamped them into the background to add some added interest to the page

  • After I added my paper and embellishments I finished the page with a little watered down Gee Soo Good Gesso in Black used to add splatter to the page.

All the above elements work well to support and accent the most important part of the page - the photo!

I hope you enjoyed my share today and I've inspired you to do some home decorating of your own.

Happy Creating!

Altered Art with Beck BT

Hi Everyone, it's Beck Beattie here today to share with you an altered art project.  I love how with a bit of paint and some fun items you can really transform a plain and not so inspiring item into something really special.

I started out with the larger of these trio of wooden houses

I had fun adding the divine Indigoblu Cottage paints and gesso to really transform it.  To transform it into something really special though I altered a chipboard die cut dragonfly.  I wanted to share with you how this was given new life in my video below:

The process:
  • Add gesso randomly to the wood piece
  • Add Hot cocoa Cottage Acrylic paint with a pallet knife to the wood piece a little random as well
  • Next place some Townhouse teal on your craft mat and stamp the wood piece into it
  • Add a little Miss Moneypenny and Emerald City with a pallet knife very sparingly
  • Us the Sewing pattern stamp and stamp with brown permanent ink onto the dried wood piece
  • Next take a piece of the cartography papers, add a little gesso and dab with a little hot cocoa paint to tone down the white.  Stamp the words from the 'NaturaI' set and cut and add a little Goldfinger to the edges of the pieces of paper before adhering with the Slap it on (Matt) applied to both sides of the paper as you adhere it to the wood piece.
  • Add some shadowing with the black neocolor crayon

The products:

Bright fun textures with Beck BT

Hi Everyone, it's Beck Beattie here today to share with you a scrapbook page I created full of colour and fun using so many of the fun IndigoBlu textures!

The process:

  • I created the page by first selecting the different textures I wanted to use.
  • I then chose a different colour ink pad for each texture.
  • I layered each of the colours trying to achieve a little balance from one side to the other
  • After all my stamping was complete I matted my photo with black card stock
  • I then set about to finish off the page with a contrasting title and embellishments and colour splatter in colours to match the various stamped coloured textures.

The products:

These are the yummy texture stamps I chose to use for my page;

So you can get up close and personal with all that yummy texture here are some more pictures!

I hope you enjoyed my share today and I've inspired you to do some home decorating of your own.

Creating a little texture fun with Beck BT

Hi Everyone, it's Beck Beattie here today to share with you a scrapbook page I created using the most divine new rubber stamps full of texture and fun!!  I just adore the new 'Teeny Backgrounds' and 'Tasty Textures' sets!  They are just so versatile.  I am on holidays at the moment and decided to create a page with a picture taken while away.  There is only so much you can take a way with you when you are creating, but my IndigoBlu texture stamps are definitely a must have!

Here I created a page using two of the textures from the stamp sets, teamed up with some watercolor, stamping, and fun embellishments.  To finish off the texture I added some natural chipboard pieces working perfectly with the feel of the page and of course some soft twine to bring the focus to the subject in the photo, my gorgeous boy.

I was creating this fun page while watching the kids over a the playground!  Nothing like a little multi-tasking!  With a few items you can create anywhere!

You can see how my page came together a little below with the help of the stamp sets pictured.

Here are some detail pics so you can get up close to the fun texture I created.

I hope you enjoyed my share today and I have inspired you to have some fun with these divine texture stamps.  Full of so many designs in the sets they were a must have in my travelling stash these holidays!

Happy Creating!
