Hello and welcome to everyone that has joined us from the TTCRD blog hop. Today we have a treat for you, we are so lucky to have a fabulous Guest Designer - Louise Withers.
My inspiration for this project was this image of a Chinese Empress' Headdress. I decided to collage a children's hardboard book. Having painted it with gesso I stamped the Jane image into the centre, then added texture paste through the Damaged Damask stencil around it. I began to build up odd embellishments to form a headdress then stamped the same Jane image onto card and layered it over the first. I continued to add more embellishments to the headdress until I was happy with it.
Next I added white gesso over the whole thing before applying Pink Iced Gem, Burning Bonfire and Mulberry Bush paints. By spraying them with water they blended beautifully. Adding various Luscious pigment powders and some dry brushing with Raven Black Metallic Paint the whole headdress began to glow. I redrew some of the detail back in to the face and used more Luscious powders to give her some 'makeup'. To finish I added some highlights with Stickles.
You should have come to visit us from Ema's Blog and after you have left our Guest Designer Louise some love you need to be checking out Jan's Blog.
So what are you waiting for! Come join the hop!
