Chameleon Friend Fridays Blog Hop with IndigoBlu - Week One

We were really excited when Chameleon Pens approached IndigoBlu to join in with their Friend Friday Blog Hop series. Each Friday during June two of our designers will be sharing projects they've made using Chameleon Color Tones 5 Pens Sets and the IndigoBlu stamps, stencils, paints, mixed media papers and flakes you are all familiar with.

Make sure you hop over to see the projects created by the Chameleon Pens Design Team HERE.

First up from IndigoBlu we have a fabulous mixed media project by Kay Molyneux;

Hello, I would like to share an altered photo frame with you today.

I acquired a basic photo frame for very little and it screamed out for attention.

I stencilled texture paste through the Roses stencil over all the frame. When dry I painted over it all with White Gee-Sso-Good gesso, then Snow White metallic paint and finally a light spray with dilute Kingfisher Blue metallic paint.

From my favourite A5 Poppy Meadow stamp set, a number of large and small poppies were stamped in black Memento. Then I had great fun in playing with the CHAMELEON pens; the BL6 Royal Blue made fantastic blue poppies - I love blue poppies! The stamens were added with Banana Custard acrylic paint. A few leaves were stamped from the A5 Live, Laugh, Love stamp set and coloured with a blend of GR3 Grass Green and YG3 Summer Sun. The poppies and leaves were cut out, the edges treated with BK4 Deep Black, shaped and layered.

The poppies and leaves were arranged and then adhered around the frame and an image from the Lost Family A6 Mixed Media Paper pack was placed into a heart shaped photo mount that I cut out.

I so enjoyed making this frame and hope I've given you some ideas for your projects with your IndigoBlu products and these wonderful Chameleon Pens.

Take care, Kay x

And now we share a gorgeous IndigoBlu project from Cheremane Smith;

Hello, today I'm sharing a CAS card with you for my inspiration.

I started with a piece of Indigoblu Perfect Stamping Card and cut it to a 6" square and then made a mat for it slightly bigger with Indigoblu Coal Black Stamping Card.

I then took the Indigoblu Giant Peony A5 stamp and stamped it twice off the edge using archival black ink, whilst making sure I had enough of a gap to stamp the Indigoblu Dragonfly Dinkie in between them.

Now it was time for colouring, the 5 pen set I had to play with was the Chameleon Cool Tones which are beautiful. I coloured the Indigoblu Giant Peony with PR4 Purple Grape and the Indigoblu Dragonfly Dinkie with BG4 Aqua Marine,

I finally added the sentiment from Indigoblu Aloysius Happy Birthday, then scuffed up the edges of the card with the Indigoblu Paper Distresser and added some super fine clear glitter to the Indigoblu Dragonfly Dinkie to make it twinkle whilst still being able to see the pen colour through it.

Indigoblu stamps are perfect for colouring with the Chameleon Pens, I hope my card has inspired you to give it a try.
