Inspirational mixed media canvas with Beck BT

Hi Everyone, it's Beck Beattie here today to share with you an inspirational canvas full of fun and texture using some of my favourite Indigoblu products.

MegaFlake really transforms a paper die into something extra special, and full of metallic goodness.

I love how the Big Butterfly stamped onto the acetate gives a softer and see through look.

Here you can get up close with the texture created with the 'Slap it On' and paper towel in the background.

Products I used:

Big Butterfly                      Gee-Sso Good! Gesso (White)                 Slap It On matt

MegaFlake Lankshire Rose                                   Megaflake Starter Kit without MegaFlake

The process:
  • Create texture on the canvas using Indigblu 'slat-it-on' Matt and some pieces paper towel.  Paint the slap it on in between layers and create fun texture - allow to dry
  • Apply a coat of Gee Sso Good Gesso in white over the top
  • Add some colour using gelatos or a colour spray
  • Additionally add some metallic rub over the top picking up some of the texture.
  • Stamp the 'Big Butterfly' stamp onto some acetate with permanent ink such as StazOn ink in Jet Black.  Allow to dry and then fussy cut the image out.
  • Coat the die cut frame using the mega flake by first adding some FlitterGlu and then adding Lankshire Rose Mega Flake before using the scrubbie to remove the excess Megaflake from the piece.
  • Adhere some twine beads and the butterfly along with the die cut frame  twine.
  • Finish off with some inspirational words for your canvas.
All the above elements work well to support and accent the most important part of the page - the photo!

I hope you enjoyed my share and I've inspired you today

Happy Creating!
