Hello, Kay M here
today with a framed picture.
One of my favourite stamps sets is Poppy Meadow and is
lovely to use this time of year. With
Remembrance Day coming up soon I was inspired to make this.
Sort of got carried away with the make to take step photos
so will talk through the make.
Fibre paste was used through a stencil for texture on a
simple wooden 6x4" frame. When set
it was painted with black Gee-So-Good and when dry, then Olive Waistcoat Artists acrylic paint was
dry brushed over.
For the background Skulduggery Border was stamped in black
ink and heat set with clear embossing powder on 6x4" white card. . Black and blue Distress inks were sponged
over and the skulls were painted with water and blotted to remove some
colour. Black ink was sponged through a stencil to add interest. The skulls were masked and over
stamped in black with the boarder from the Poppy Meadow set. The background was secured in the frame.
The poppies were stamped and coloured with Red Hot Chilli
and Olive Waistcoat Artists acrylic paints and fussy cut when dry. They were then adhered to the background and
frame.
Die cut sentiments painted with Red Hot Chilli Artists acrylic paint and toy solders were added to finish the picture.
I enjoy using the new stamps with old favourites as they
work so well together.
Hope you have been inspired to have a play too!
Take care, Kay M
