Good morning!
Lovely to have you joining us again on the challenge blog, today it's time for the Top 3 from Challenge 26 (Off the Edge), to share the pieces they have designed especially for us, to inspire you further this month!
First up we have Doreen:
Doreen had this to say:
The Just one Layer challenge is the perfect challenge for me, as I love to
create and build up my own backgrounds.
Step by step instructions on how I created this card:
On a white piece of paper stamp with archival black the poppy. Mask off the poppy and start blending distress inks cracked pistache, mustard seed onto the background. Flick some waterdrops on the background, let it sit for a minute and depp it off with a dry cloth.
Stamp the text with distress ink spiced marmalade randomly on the background. And do the same with the ledger background stamp with distress ink cracked pistachio.
Stamp the text again with archival black ink. Remove the mask and start watercoloring the flower with distress inks spiced marmalade and mustard seed.
Tear the edges around the card, tear off the rightcorner for a distressed look. Add a doodling frame around the outside of card.
And finally adhere the background onto a white card.
And last but definitely not least we have Gerrina:
And Gerrina says:
I have created a one-layer-card with stamps from IndigoBlu and the technique that I did at the Art Specially Event with Petra van der Zee, because I think the effect is beautiful.
I think you will agree our top 3 did us proud, some great inspiration here. We'd love you to join us, there is just over a week to go, and you can enter HERE.
See you soon!

Thank you so much for inviting me to do an
inspiration piece for the blog.
I have made a fridge magnet with a piece
of Stampbord.
I started by first colouring my background
with Peacock Feathers Distress ink and edging with Black Soot Distress ink. I
then stamped the sentiment from the Take the Time stamp sheet onto my
background using Black Versafine ink, once dry I scraped
out some highlights with a sharp knife to finish off I silver embossed the
edges and stuck a magnet on the back
Next up it's Mariette:
