Today Ksenija is here, and I am happy to share with you a new project as a part of September inspiration from International DT.

I would like to demonstrate the way to use big stamps for Clean and Simple cards. For my card I am combining Lollipop Tree and Dreams Come True stamp sets with Megaflakes. Clean and Simple (CAS) cards should have a lot free (white) space and preferably one focal image. To comply with CAS style rules I suggest stamping the big image over the crease line.

I started with cutting the card base to 5 1/2" by 6 1/4" and folding it vertically at 2". Then stamped the tree in soft grey archival ink down to a soft grey card base. I did not center it, but moved the stamp to the right to get the stem of the tree on the front panel.

Then partially applied FlitterGlu to the tree stamp and made the second impression, which I covered with Winter Dawn Megaflakes. Winter Dawn - is a mix of silver foils with blue greens and shiny golds.

I cut a white card panel to size 4 1/4" by 5 1/2" and stamped down Hello script from Dreams Come True set. To bind visually the grey card base and this panel I heat embossed one heart in silver powder.

To assemble the card I folded it at 2" and adhered the white panel under the narrow side of the card base.

Today Ksenija is here, and I am happy to share with you a new project as a part of March inspiration from International DT.

I am featuring Under the Sea stamp set in combination with Megaflakes.

I started with stamping the bubbles in black archival ink down to a white card stock base.

Then I coloured the impressions with watercolour markers.

The next step was to create a panel with a focal element. I cut a panel by 2 cm smaller than the size of the standard card. Stamped down the sentiment from the same set in black ink and then a seashell in soft grey ink. I applied FlitterGlu to the upper edge of the shell and stamped it down repeatedly. Winter Dawn Megaflakes look gorgeously in combination with soft grey inks.

To assemble my card I adhered the panel to the card base using a piece of foam for additional dimension.

December creating with Beck BT

Hi Everyone, it's Beck Beattie here today to share with you some creative fun I had with my MegaFlakes!  Oh how I love the metallic goodness that it brings to so many projects!  I decided to create this altered bottle to share with you today and inspire you to pretty up your home.

I started out with this bottle I picked up at the dollar store, looking a bit bland and trying to be on trend.  I knew this could make the prettiest bottle so I set about adding some glam to it.  

Using my Mega Flakes Starter Kit I added some Winter Dawn Mega Flakes to some cardstock.  I then die cut it as I find that trying to brush the megaflake from the die cut once it is cut out can be tricky as it catches easily.  I then added it to the bottle along with some hessian, jewels and oh my what a difference it makes!
