Challenge 28 - A pocketful of posies - Top 3 Inspiration

Good morning!

Lovely to have you joining us again on the challenge blog, today it's time for the Top 3 from Challenge 27 - Just one Layer, to share the pieces they have designed especially for us, to inspire you further this month, in the 'Pocketful of Posies' challenge.

I think you will agree these ladies have done us proud!  Hop across to their blogs via the links to see how they made these inspirational pieces.

First we have Bev Lowe:

Bev had this to say:  I had been wanting to try a double pocket card for some time & thought this would be the ideal time to try.  I used some double sided patterned to make the double pocket.

I cut the cards for inside the pockets from white card. Stamped the Elizabeth Bennet image using Flitter Glue, then used gilding flakes to bring out the image. I use Pan Pastels to colour the white card, then painted the flowers using watercolour paints.

For the other card I stamped the sentiment & flower images using black Archival ink, then coloured with the watercolours. Stamped the Poppy Heart onto white card, coloured with the watercolours. Die cut the heart shape. Stamped the image again & cut out the largest poppies & added to the heart using foam pads.
I went around all the edges using Inka Gold.

Next up its: Jane France:

Jane had this to say:

Hi, I am thrilled at being asked to make an inspirational card for the Pocketful of Posies Challenge. I do hope you like it.
I started by randomly stamping the Ledger Background stamp with vintage sepia Versafine ink onto some watercolour paper, I then sprinkled Brusho crystals onto my cardstock and flicked water onto it.... oooohhh I just adore those Brushos!!!

As the watercolour paper is quite textured, I couldn't get a clear stamped image, so I stamped the poppies and the sentiment onto tissue paper with black Stazon ink, then adhered them to my background,  I then stamped the poppy heads a few times onto thin yellow card, added a bit of shading with promarkers, cut them out and decoupaged them to give a bit of dimension, stuck them to my card, then finished off with a bit of sewing round the edge and some matting and layering...et voila!!! ...Doncha just love love love that poppy stamp....it's gorrrrrrrrgeous!!!

Last but not least its: Lynda Hall

Lynda had this to say:

I am delighted to have been asked to contribute an inspiration piece for this challenge. After a bit of thought I decided to alter a pocket notebook so my project could be practical as well as pretty! I used the stamp set that was a free gift a while ago with a craft magazine, and painted the flowers and background with Spectrum Noir Aquatints and the dragonflies with Twinkling H20's to add a little shimmer.

I think you will agree our top 3 are amazing, some great inspiration here.  We'd love you to join us, there is just over a week to go, and you can enter HERE.

See you soon!
